It is pretty much clear that the upcoming phase of technology is going to be that of IOT (Internet of Things). Everything around us will be connected to Internet, making lives easier and simpler day by day. The year has started of well, lets see what IoTX brings us in 2016.
About IoTX 2016, Dubai
Keeping our promise of bringing you all closer to the best and latest technology, this time we went to IoTX, Dubai to find out what world’s top companies have to offer in the field of IOT.
IoTX, Dubai is Middle East’s largest dedicated IoT exhibition and conference held at Dubai World Trade Center, UAE. Dubai being the spotlight city of Middle East helps the technology companies by providing a platform where they can showcase how better world they can make with their IoT solutions based products and services.
This year too they had extraordinary lineup of speakers who presented us with innovative technologies which are positively disrupting enterprises, governments and end user experiences.
Key Highlights of the Conference
Cisco demonstrated various ‘real life’ Smart City scenarios including Smart Energy, Smart Transportation, Smart Parking, Retail, Healthcare and Remote Diagnostics through video content and an animated city display. Cisco’s partners, Alpha Data and Philips, also showcased their IoT solutions at the Cisco stand.
Talisen Technologies, a US based company created an energy management and analytics suite which can help large scale customers by saving a lot in energy and cost on enterprise operations and maintenance.
One of the key highlights of the conference was Industrial Automation. There was quite a buzz among the technology companies about how to IoT can be utilised to give power to the industries, so that they can work more effectively and efficiently.
Any conference on IoT is incomplete without wearables and so was this. Patrice Coutard, Fitness Coach, UAE Soccer National Team gave an insight how using wearables for his players has given him a leverage over other teams. He exchanged his experience on using the smart bands which monitor the body stats of the player on the field, analysis of which helps him know more about the fitness of every player so that the team can plan the game well. Our CEO Ketan Raval and Patrice had a healthy discussion about how IoT Solutions and wearables can improve player’s ability.
We also went to Big Data Show, Dubai understanding how the need and use of data will be changing the face of technology in upcoming years.
Business Prospects
We also met potential investors and business partners and had a great exchange of knowledge and commerce. One of such meeting was held with Mr Aniruddh Gupta, CEO, Martapad, where we discussed at length about possibilities of our IoT services in their enterprise. We also had very constructive discourse over the implementation of IT solutions in the field of real estate with Mr Pawan Batavia, Managing Director, Synergy Group, UAE.
We shall keep coming up with more details and insights from the IoTX 2016, Dubai in our later blogs.
