Language Preserving Event with WikiGujrati at our Ahmedabad Letsnuture

Last Sunday We held an event for Preserving our local language “Gujarati” on Wikipedia. Event was created by Harsh and Samkit to Engineering Undergraduates, who has light up this thought and they are constantly helping in growth of Wiki Pedia Gujarati.  There are millions of articles are available on Wiki English. Even language which is spoken by small group of people has more articles than wiki pedia Gujarati. So, in this session we learned how to become a contributor in wiki Gujarati .

During Event we met youngest wiki Gujarati editor. He is studyin in only 8th standard and sharing huge amount of gujrati articles on Wiki Gujrati.  It was really awesome that so many people . It was really great that housewives also participated on preserving Gujarati Language.

Harsh and Samkit did a wonderful job for explaining everything to all attendees. There were many engineering students who participated in event and shared their knowledge and curiosity to be part of wiki Gujarati movement.  I was so happy to see young people are learning an important thing which is residing outside of their syllabus book. J
