BLE is a very transparent technology. Although you encounter them everywhere you go, you don’t have to freak out about them. Your phone broadcasts bluetooth which you are quite open to. It is a low range communication system. Similarly, beacons are a step ahead to them and are tiny computers that emit signals to your phone.

The beacons only send the data which is needed. So it doesn’t have the access to track you or any of your information. They are designed in such a way that they do not know you are receiving signals. Just like when you switch on the radio on your phone, it doesn’t get your information as a user and cannot recognize you.

Your privacy is important

Denying the permission

So in case of any of the above reasons, you can go back to disabling your phone access to beacons. Just go to your phones ‘Settings app’ option and choose Privacy> Location Services. And yes, if the bluetooth in your phone is disabled, there is no way Beacons can get an access to your phone.

Always remember the fact that BLE app development or beacons cannot give out your name, credit card number and other details to anyone. They just broadcast your numbers so that the retailers can find you in their databases and identify you.
